Did you know that the Federal Government provides almost $2.5 billion annually to small business for research and development to solve hard problems? The Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer Programs are designed specifically to get small businesses and entrepreneurs involved in solving complex problems for our country. These programs are unique in that a company can receive more than a million dollars for development of a technology without giving up equity. Over half the awards are to firms with fewer than 25 people and a third go to firms of fewer than 10. Historically, a quarter of the companies are first-time winners. If you are a small business and you owe it to yourself to find out what it takes to get involved in developing tech for government.
